Jens Bjørn-Larsen

Jens Bjørn-Larsen has received a number of national and international awards. In 1991 he won the 1st prize at the « Concours International d‘Execution Musicale » in Geneva, an event which marked the start of an unusual solo career for a tuba player. From 1987 to 2005 Jens Bjørn-Larsen has been principal tuba with the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. He is  lecturer at the Conservatories in Malmö and Copenhagen. In 2002 Jens Bjørn-Larsen was appointed Professor of tuba at the Hochschule für Musik  in Hannover.
